Which of us is not fascinated to see someone moving their body to the rhythm of music .We all are natural born dancers, some of us do it in style and some of us know to shake it a bit too but are often shy at times but we all like to dance to the music anyway .We all like to express bursts of joyful emotions in the form of dance in different exuberant settings such as in a social meet ups, dance nights, contests, paid performances or making it a career choice. How do you define what dance actually is: Renowned dancers say it's a form of expression and movement that involves rhythmically moving the body to music. It is often done wherever there is some sort of celebration jubilation in a perfect vibrant backdrop most of all it can be enjoyed as a hobby or a pursuit as a top notch professional career. Dancing can take many forms, including ballet, hip-hop, salsa, ballroom, contemporary, and many more. It is not only a physical activity but also an art form that allows individuals to express themselves creatively. Dancing is known to have vast array of benefits such as physical and mental health benefits, improving cardiovascular fitness, coordination, flexibility, and overall mood. It can also be a way to connect with others, build confidence, and relieve stress.

Here are few of the stories of the great dancers of our times that I like to bring forth to grace this para of the blog .The story of those you will read about shows how these individuals have left an indelible mark on the world stage through their exceptional talent, artistry, and dedication to craft.

Misty Copeland is an American ballet dancer who made history as the first African American female principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre. Her journey to success was not easy, as she faced numerous obstacles and discrimination throughout her career. Despite this, Copeland's exceptional talent, determination, and resilience allowed her to break barriers and become one of the most influential dancers of our time.

Mikhail Baryshnikov is a Russian-American ballet dancer and choreographer. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest male ballet dancers of all time. Baryshnikov's technical prowess, athleticism, and artistic versatility made him a sensation in the ballet world. He defected from the Soviet Union in 1974, seeking creative freedom, and went on to become a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre and later the New York City Ballet


Sylvie Guillem is a French ballet dancer who is known for her extraordinary flexibility, precision, and expressive style. She started her career at the Paris Opera Ballet and quickly rose to prominence with her exceptional talent and unique approach to dance. Guillem's innovative and boundary-pushing performances have earned her critical acclaim and made her one of the most influential dancers of our time.


Carlos Acosta is a Cuban ballet dancer who gained international recognition for his incredible technique, charisma, and powerful stage presence. Acosta's journey from a humble background in Havana to becoming a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet in London is an inspiring story of determination and passion. He has performed with numerous prestigious ballet companies around the world and has received numerous awards for his exceptional talent.

Self-expression: There are ways to express your inner self ; for some us folks its easy talking ourselves out some just let their emotions eun rivers of tears and some of us convey it the other way by hollering shouting and what have you and some of the others just dance to glory and find dancing as their emotional outlet window . Do you know " Dancing' is a form of artistic expression that allows individuals to convey emotions, thoughts, and stories through movement. It provides a creative outlet for self-expression and can help individuals explore and communicate their feelings in a non-verbal way.

Social Interaction: Most of us are party goers or desire to be in happening places to shoo away our boredom. "Dances" as we know often happen in social settings, such as dance classes, clubs, or performances. It can be a great way to meet new people, make friends, and build social connections. Dancing together with others promotes teamwork, cooperation, and a sense of community.

 

Confidence and Self-esteem: Dancers are seen to have no stage fright and are often seen to be loving crowds amassed in droves .The more in numbers the more merrier its for them to showcase their prowess all because they are confident of their ability the talent . Learning and mastering dance techniques boosts self-confidence and self-esteem. As individuals progress in their dancing skills, they gain a sense of accomplishment and pride in their abilities. Performing in front of an audience can also enhance self-assurance and overcome stage fright

Opportunities exist in various fields such as professional dance companies, musical theater, cruise ships, dance education, choreography, and more.
